My Dad, the most ordinary man
The most ordinary man turned by love into a hero, an adventurer, a story teller, a singer of songs, a wonderful friend, a true teacher and what not he can be to his child is a DAD – a son’s first hero and a daughter’s first love!! Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a DAD. Some heroes don’t have capes, they are DADs !!
When I was a child, I found my dad as a young man taking care, nurturing and lovingly holding me in his arms!
When I was in school, I found him involving in my simple works and interests, making things easy, playing with me, and seeing me grow up!
When I was in college, I found him motivating, encouraging, and spending time as a friend!
When I became a professional, I found him guiding, counseling and teaching me morals and skills for life as a teacher!
Now, when I revive, I see my dad as a man perfectly filled with qualities and personality that matched my age and mentality.
I have seen my dad in many roles, as a mechanic, a plumber, a cook, an electrician, a carpenter, a jolly ride driver, all time available!
I have seen him being happy, proud, brave, and satisfied!
I have seen him been funny, strict, sad, tensed and angry!
I have seen him taking challenges, sacrificing, working hard, being kind and gentle!
I have seen him patiently tolerating all my irritating and troubling actions!
I have seen him as a guide, counselor, sharing his knowledge and experience!
I have seen him as a complete man who is difficult to be replaced by any other!
Having seen my dad in many versatile roles all these years, now it’s my turn to anticipate and be like him, following his thoughts and good works and to take care of him.
Being whole heartedly ‘thankful’ to all he has devotedly done and being sincerely ‘sorry’ for all my behaviors hurting him, and keeping him happy will be the only greatest gift I can give him.
He will always be my first love, forever!
One this Father’s day, a tribute and honor to all the fathers of all walks of life, dedicated and devoted who make to the lives of their children.
Happy Father’s Day!!!
